It’s a Mad World: Eerie + Enchanting Alice In Wonderland-Inspired Editorial

‘“Curiouser and curiouser!” We’ve fallen down the rabbit hole to this mad world, à la Alice in Wonderland. Taking things to a fantastic level, the creative team of Cody James Barry Photography, event designer Autumn Nomad, planner Nicole Mower Events, and florist Bad Rabbit Flowers crafted something that truly pushed eerie to a new level! From a Mad Hatter-inspired cake, to tons of overgrown mossy confections, live rabbits, and twisted details, we simply can’t stop staring!

Infused with dark elements that Tim Burton would be proud of, we better take a look before we’re late (for a very important date!). Down the rabbit hole we gooooo:”

Aladdin

May 24, 2019

A Whole New World of Wonders Come to Life in Aladdin + Jasmine’s Imagined Wedding!

“Whether you’re curious to see if Will Smith can fill some rather big shoes in the new Aladdin film or you’re strictly a fan of the original, one thing is for certain. Today’s imagined wedding between the once Prince Ali and his Princess Jasmine is clever, creative, and full of little nods to the movie. In short, it’s SO fun!

And…you’ll never ever guess where it took place. A desert, yes — but in Maine?! The Desert of Maine is a unique venue currently under renovations to take it from a “street rat” (just staying on theme, here!) to a prince. Old barns are to be replaced with desert cabins along the sand dunes, in addition to campsites among the trees — can you imagine the weddings to come?!

The day burst to life with design by Jaime from Autumn Nomad, production by The Prism House, and planning by Nicole Mower Events. And to complete the dream team, Cody James Barry Photography stepped behind the camera to capture the magic.”

Lion King

Feel the Love: This ‘Lion King’ Inspired Wedding is Full of Spirit

“In celebration of The Lion King out in theaters today, we’re thrilled to share an inspired interpretation of a wedding fit for a king! Jaime at Autumn Nomad is truly a jack of all trades. She spearheaded the design details, as well as the food, spirits, and cake—a true, jaw-dropping work of art. Here’s a quick peek into the inspiration behind the shoot:

After our Alice in Wonderland and Aladdin shoots, we wanted to bring the spirit of The Lion King and Africa to the wedding world! We found inspiration from both the film (adding as many subtle details as possible) and Africa as a whole. From shooting the couple in the cornfields and paying tribute to Africa’s rich agriculture to a “bug grub” menu inspired by Moroccan food and real, edible bugs. As it’s wedding season, we all worked late into the evenings and had so much fun creating and styling the shoot in only 5 days!

The Pumbaa to Jaime’s Timon, Cody James Barry Photography was there to capture every detail—of which there are a LOT. Pay attention, because just like any proper Disney movie, the Easter eggs are not to be missed!”
